HA3 - Task 3

Pathos Logos and Ethos are art forms or Rhetoric written by Aristotle. They are 3 terms witch were the techniques used for audience appeal.

Pathos is the technique used for emotional appeal. They use this by making the audience feel a range of emotions. E.G. Anger, Sadness, Guilt, Happiness.

Logos is where they use facts and figures to make a message there giving more supported and more believe able. This is used in a lot of adverts, especial animal adverts, and road safety adverts.

Ethos is the use of manipulative behaviors, his means the audiences trust in other characters might change due to aspects that have been changed by another character.

Promise A Benefit - The way that 'Promise a Benefit' works is that it gives us 2 Characteristics. the first if the most important, its the benefit to the reader, and the second I a specific benefit.

Trigger An Emotion - This is used to mainly change or create a positive feeling toward a certain product.

Introduce A Human Touch (Personification) - A Human Touch, or personification is basicaly giving an inanimate object a human like feature.

Create An Interesting Character - This is done by creating a character that is either not real, a cartoon or dead. This makes the viewer instantly interested and also draws them in.

Pick A Niche- A Niche is another word to a demographic. These demographics are: Age, Gender, Race, Martial Status, Sexual Orientation, Education level and Income. This means adverts change what they say or what the show in order to attract different audiences.
